Children love stories. But telling a captivating story on demand is hard. Li'l Stories make storytelling easy and fun. They provide you with inspiration when you need to tell a story on the spot — whether it's at bedtime, over dinner, or while traveling.
Li'l Stories are story cards. You can use them for inspiration when you need to tell a story on the spot. The cards are 5 inches x 7 inches and each card has an illustration on the front and 5-10 facts on the back. We chose themes that can inspire but also trigger a memory, so one can weave both into a story. In 1923, the future mayor of Montmartre bicycled from the first floor of the Eiffel Tower to the ground, using the tower’s leg as a ramp . . . the rest of the story is up to you. Check out our Li'l Stories library for inspiration.
We currently have 4 sets of cards. Each has a different theme. The sets are Awesome People (Amelia Earhart, Albert Einstein, Martin Luther King, Jr., Abraham Lincoln, and Beatrix Potter), Cool Places (Egyptian Pyramid, Eiffel Tower, Petra, Statue of Liberty, and Taj Mahal), Great Animals (Elephant, Lion, Monkey, Penguin, and Platypus) and Mysterious Objects (Air Balloon, Bicycle, Gramophone, Steam Engine, and Telephone).
We believe storytelling is a powerful learning tool and has lots of benefits for children:
• It develops communication skills, vocabulary, and an active imagination.
• It helps children understand themselves, others, and the world around them.
• It is a safe way of learning and sharing emotions and feelings.
And most of all, kids LOVE stories.
